Bologna and the Bridge Today is a long rallying day. We are rallying all over the region surrounding Bologna. Its a day in the countryside, up hills, down mountains and again everything has to be times to a hundredth of a second. Some Jobbers wear their stop watches constantly and are obsessive about precision. We have come to the conclusion we are doing well, if not better than some of the others without this so continue with our confident, yet relaxed approach! Our friends, the other young guys who are new to this and are the team behind us (team 39) are also doing well - they are 10th!! (We're very proud, go Russ and Rich!)

The scenery today is breath taking but as the driver I can't really enjoy it. Gordon is navigating again and at times we are completely lost. Its hilarious. If you do see another Mini they can be as lost as you, so you have to reach your own conclusions about the best route. Occasionally we see the odd classic mini broken down and the Italian Job service van having to attend to them. With our newly serviced mini from B4BMW A4Audi we have no worries there so press on! After all its a competition and I don't know a thing about motor mechanics so there would be no point Gordon and I stopping to help! The classic minis on the race don't like the new mini's and always have a point to prove - competition is even fiercer there!

As part of todays route we visit the Dam made famous in the remake of the Italian Job where a car gets pushed over the edge. Its amazing to see all the Mini's old and new lined up across the dam - Pudsey can't resist a photo op here!

By the end of the day we find out we have come 6th and overall are now in 16th place!

In the evening there is a charity auction where Jobbers donate items and other Jobbers bid. The money all goes to children's charities. The total raised is £4000 between the people in the room. We bid and win a Mini shaped cushion which is cute (although we do have to bid a crazy amount for a cushion) but it is all for charity!!
