At the Ducati FactoryDay 2 of the actual rally and we're feeling optomistic. The car is great and I have to say I think the decals on our car stand out as the best in the rally by far! Having come 20th the day before we are pleasantly susprised. A lot of the Jobbers who come annually are behind us and we're not only new to this, I'm still having trouble with the stop watch!

Todays challenge in the road book is to navigate to the Ducati factory in Bologna. The factory is where the worlds greatest superbikes are made and there is a museum there we can tour if we make it on time!

The road book is not easy to follow. Gordon takes over navigational duty. My sense of direction is hopeless and he is better at counting miles and recalculating distances everytime we get lost which we do frequently. You're not allowed to use a map other than the road book they give you or sat nav obviously. Leaving again, only 30 seconds apart its amazing that after you leave you rarely see a mini again - I suspected we could follow others but its not that simple... you don't know who to trust! There's so much competition and talk of sabottage - road signs being moved and wrong times given - TRUST NO-ONE!! Its part of the fun!

We head to Ducati and make a few wrong turns (causing a few heated words and a few laughs) but we get there on time and cross the line at our allotted time confident that we've got it right to the hundredth of a second... give or take a few...! The Ducati factory is interesting, I'm not a huge bike fan but some of the older bikes are fascinating if not quite hilarious!

We carry out some more special stages here - timed figures of 8. I'm doing the driving and sadly I seem to have forgotten what an 8 looks like! D'oh!! Hope we haven't lost too many points here!

In the afternoon we rally to Florence - a beautiful city.

Rally position on day 2 of the rally is 14th (yeh!!) so overall we are now 17th. (Take that ye olde Jobbers!)
