Day 1

Tue 21st: After getting a great send-off from all friends and family at 11pm, we headed for the 9.30am ferry from Dover to Calais. After making speedy progress due to clear roads we managed to get the earlier ferry at 06.30am. Ahead of schedule we zoomed by Paris and had lunch in Reims. Attempting to make Zurich we only made it to Basle via dinner in Strasbourg (which is a stunning city to say the least) and after managing to get the last available room in the whole city due to Barcelona playing Basle at football, we hit the pillows for a well deserved sleep!

Day 2

Breakfast in Basle, lunch in Zurich we raced to Lake Como for some pasta, sightseeing and the obligatory espresso or 5.. Arrived in Imola at 9pm and headed to the nearest restaurant for some exquisite local food. Percy the Mini gets its road test tomorrow, so fingers crossed he will get a clean bill of health and we can start the race tomorrow. We will keep you updated with news of our rally position. Anything out of the top 10 will be a disappointment! Caio for now!!!
